Just as it should be.

The world above her glowed as she floated through the white-walled rooms. She lay on her back and stared at the room, of course things were becoming too tiring for her and so with a last breath she stopped breathing for herself. An angel quickly floated above her and took up the job; despite not doing it herself she would feel the oxygen move in and out of her lungs. The air moving in and out was like the wind that couldn’t make up its mind on a spring day, it was as if the wind itself was kissing her lips and sending the life-giving source directly into her.

It was ages before she stopped floating and came to a stop, the cloud that she lay on was soft though and she didn’t mind. The stop was sudden and she jerked slightly, the same way she had... when had she jerked like this? She was suddenly cold but it was a relaxing cold. It was the cold of jumping into a swimming pool on a hot day, it was the cold of a mango ice-cream, it was the fresh cold of walking into an air conned room on a hot day.

She smiled as the robbed figure walked towards her, his hands held out in a gesture as if to say ‘get up, come with me’ with a smile she stepped out of the bed and took his hand. He pulled her to her and held her in a bear-hug, the same way her father always had. She giggled and when he let go she jumped down and she ran into the garden, the flowers around her were oh so surreal yet she didnt mind. It simply made the colours so much more brighter. He walked behind her and the white room disappeared.

Her broken body lay on a silver table with a thin green cloth draped over it. The room was cold as the last breath of life her and the team around her simply gave up. No one wanted to save the girl who would live a broken life. They put down their tools with a sigh that was borderline sadness and went to tell the parents. The girl that they had slaved over for the last three months was gone, the car accident had being her last memory and just like everything else it was broken.

All she remembered was rainbows and butterflies.
Just the way it should have being.
Just a short story.
